In 2015, I worked with August to render brand and packaging concept images for their successful pitch to John Hardy, a high end jewelry designer based in Bali.  Unfortunately, the packaging concepts are still confidential.  The image shown was used to help convey the proposed brand identity.

I worked with Mother New York to create this trophy for a Sour Patch Kids event.  The client provided reference 3D for the mischievous SPK character and the rest of the trophy was modeled based on reference photos.  The 3D data was used to create a 3D print so that the trophy could be presented to the winner.  Shown here is a set of quick Keyshot renderings.

Back in 2012, I worked with Small Planet (smallplanet.com/) to create animations and renderings for an Amplify Education mobile app that teaches students about plate tectonics.

Reference Center

I worked with the architecture firm, Lothrop Associates in White Plains, NY to create images that were used to visually convey their designs to the client, Larchmont Plublic Library.  They are also being used on the client's website to show the proposed renovation of the existing library building.  These two images are the final iteration in a series of refinements made throughout the design process.

Personal Work.  A cynical appraisal of happiness.  Most elements in the image are drab and cut off in the composition, leaving them incomplete.  As the only cheerful element, the umbrella is whole and centered, but is ultimately ineffectual in that it shelters nothing from the rain, which is its entire purpose.

I worked with Lothrop Associates in White Plains, NY to create this rendering for a new Garelick & Herbs store.  Lothrop proved an existing rendering (lower image) for me to edit to show design intent, atmosphere, material options, etc.

I worked with Lothrop Associates in White Plains, NY to create two renderings for the Rockland Psychiatric Center in Orangeburg, NY.  Lothrop provided the full designs, construction documents, and an existing 3ds Max model.  I rebuilt and added to the 3D model according to the changes in the design and to bring the 3D up to a high level of quality for finished renderings.  The top two images are the two renderings I created.   The bottom two are the renderings that Lothrop asked me to recreate and improve.

I rendered Red Flower's entire product line in 3D for the launch of their newly redesigned website.  The existing product line represents only one small part of the work with Red Flower.

Entry for the V-Ray Anniversary Challenge: A Decisive Moment

A train tears through the countryside, plowing through a herd of witless cows.  The ruthless determination of the locomotive is set against storms and fields of wheat, bringing a sort of crude irony to the ridiculous plight of the cows.

I'd been wanting to do something like this for a while, and I would say that it is a pretty Decisive Moment... if you're the cow.  I wanted the serious, painterly style to offset the absurd subject matter to create something a little more interesting.

The Carpenter is a recluse who feels a certain nostalgia for the old ways of working with his hands.  His recent and sudden fascination with crafting wooden prosthetics has kept him indoors and working obsessively for weeks.

I was trying to create a feeling of nostalgia and mystery with this image.  Most of the colors are browns, white, grey, etc. to produce a warm feeling.  The person who lives and works here would be quite strange, but inviting and friendly.
